Accurate for noisy environments

I agree that this program isnt too accurate given that it doesnt drop below 50dB. But I used this program to measure a loud fan in my lab at 85 dB and used the measurement to file a complaint. The occupational health and safety inspector brought in a professional noise meter and measured the same exact value. Conclusion: the program works but only in noisy environments.
